It's like the universe wants me to succeed in my self-employment. See, one of the things I knew I would miss the most from my past job was an awesome stock image package.
Awesome, but with a ridiculous price tag. Like, $2000 a year. I know, right?
I could almost justify it by organizing my freelance presentation design work (I make rad PowerPoints and Keynotes, if you want some additional help, contact me!) but not quite.
So, I went to my good friend, the internet, and I started looking around.
Everything I wanted was the same price as my fancy package, which I'd already determined was WAY too expensive. Plus, if I were to spend that kind of money, I already knew which image company I loved.
So I kept looking.
Then I found GraphicStock.
Graphic Stock Review
GraphicStock is a stock image (photos and vectors) site that gives you unlimited downloads for $99 a year.
Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? I thought so too, but I figured I couldn't lose. 95% off what I was expecting to pay for the year?
There are over 15 million images, many of them excellent. You get unlimited downloads, so you don't even have to love the first image you select.
You have to be careful with your keyword selection. With my favorite fancy stock image site, you could type almost anything, but GraphicStock is fussier. WAY fussier. So you have to type as few words as possible to get what you want. Plus, you don't get the SUPER huge images that the fancy sites give you. But that's okay, this is the internet.
GraphicStock is… ugly. Hideous. There are a lot of ways to browse, but it's confusing to see where you should search, because there's a “quick jump” area as well as a search bar.
But you know what? I'm saving 95%.
